If your pet is not obese or hypertrigliceridaemic, they should be able to tolerate a diet between 10-15% fat on a dry matter basis and our treats are ~8% fat on a dry matter basis.
Without knowing specifically how much fat your pet can tolerate with its condition, we ask that you refer to your vet to see if treats with 8% fat on a dry matter basis are suitable and can be incorporated into their diet.
They're actually two grape sized glands under their tail that are scent glands. They're what dogs sniff when they greet each other. But they get blocked regularly!
Our Maltese sometimes has annal gland issues, which is why we use these treats, and find them very helpful
Great that this product doesn’t contain chicken. I find I only need to give one whenever I see the dreaded “scoot” it works well and along with a healthy diet of mostly fresh, he’s all good for months on end.
