Sam may very well be the definition of devotion. But the 20 year old Labrador also knows all too much about heartbreak.
She’s just been found standing guard over her lifelong owner who had passed away. It’s believed she’s been keeping vigil for at least a day. Sam’s true devastation only became apparent when police asked a local animal shelter for help in moving her because she was showing signs of stress (panting and shaking) and refusing to leave her owner.
Sam is now in the care of that same animal shelter and while grieving, will begin the process of trying to find a new human to love, unconditionally. Given how much love she does have to give, it’ll be a lucky person that ends up with her...
