Loneliness is a big challenge for dogs awaiting adoption. That ruffle of the ears, reassuring pat across the shoulders and the freedom of a walk to the park with the sun on their back is the stuff dreams are made of. So this animal shelter in Washington DC created a way that these dogs can feel that joy at least once a day.
They’ve unleashed ‘happy hour’. A way that volunteers can easily come and take these good boys and girls out of the shelter for that well earned feeling of freedom.
I’m pretty sure a happy hour more than often leads to a happy life together. And hopefully that’s the whole idea here...
