Great Dane gives birth to litter of 19 puppies

This Great Dane named Cleo must surely be feeling Great Relief after giving birth to 19 puppies. In fact, the effort was so immense that she required a Caesarian section to finish off the job.

And while it’s no world record (that’s 24 Neopolitan Mastiff pups in a single litter in case you were wondering) what makes Cleo’s litter remarkable is the breed; Great Dane’s normally have small litters.

But for now, Cleo is sleeping it all off. And she’ll need her rest. Nineteen pups have milk on their mind...
